American flags hold a special place in our hearts, which is why our cotton U.S. flags are crafted by expert flag makers right here in the U.S.A. In addition to embroidering all 50 stars, they cut and sewn each stripe together using expert stitching before finishing the flag with a strong canvas heading and brass grommets. With their extra-strong cotton weave, you can trust these flags to become a cherished and enduring addition to your home.
Do you have a question about our cotton U.S.A. flags? Read our FAQ before contacting our customer care team. We've written down answers to our most commonly asked questions.
1. Can I display my cotton American flag outside temporarily?
Yes, cotton flags can be displayed outside temporarily during dry weather. However, they tend to have a longer lifespan when protected from the elements. Since their colors can bleed if they become wet, we recommend only displaying cotton U.S. flags outside during special occasions.
2. Do you provide bulk discounts for large quantities of cotton American flags?
Yes, you can get a bulk discount when you order six or more flags that are 2 x 3 ft, 2.5 x 4ft, 4 x 6 ft, 5 x 8 ft, 5 x 9.5 ft; three or more flags 3 x 5 ft or 6 x 10 ft; or two or more flags 8 x 12 ft. We automatically apply bulk discounts to qualifying orders.
3. What is the standard size for a burial flag?
The standard size for a burial flag is 5 x 9.5 ft. If you plan to use your flag for an official military funeral, please consult your funeral director to ensure you have the correct flag. Some official military cemeteries, like Arlington National Cemetery, require official G-spec flags.
4. Can I use a cotton American flag for my flag display case?
Yes, we recommend using cotton for your flag display case. Cotton flags hold neat and crisp folds and create a classic look when added to a flag display case. Check out our blog "How to Fold an American Flag for a Display Case" to learn how to properly fold your flag.
While our cotton American flags create spectacular indoor displays, we do not recommend hanging them outside on your flagpole long-term. Cotton flags can sometimes bleed if displayed during wet weather. Those who need a durable outdoor American flag should consider either a nylon or polyester American flag. Polyester American flags look similar to cotton flags but are better suited for outdoor conditions. Nylon American flags are the go-to for porches and home displays because they are lightweight and flexible. Shop our collection to learn more about all our American flags on sale.
