Brazil痴 first flag was only used for four days in 1889. Designed after the U.S. flag, it featured green and yellow stripes and a blue field in the left corner with white stars. The current flag features a green background with a large yellow diamond in the center. In the center of the diamond is a blue globe with white stars. Dividing the globe is a thin white band with a motto proclaiming Ordem e Progresso," which means Order and Progress.
