Central African Republic Flags
The Central African Republic flag came into use in 1958. Barthélemy Boganda designed it and wanted the flag to represent a united front of France and Africa. It is comprised of four horizontal stripes of blue, white, green and yellow. A yellow star appears in the top left corner and a red vertical stripe appears at the center. Red represents the blood of the people; blue symbolizes the sky and freedom; white signifies peace and prestige; green stands for hope and faith and yellow means tolerance.
