The Danish flag is also known as Dannebrog. Used since the 14th century, it features a red background and a white cross. The vertical part of the cross is set slightly to the left and the horizontal part cuts across the center of the flag. The Raven Banner was used before this in the 9th-11th centuries. Triangular in shape with a curved outside edge, the raven banner was white with a drawing of a raven inside.
