East Timor Flags

Adopted May 19, 2002, when East Timor gained independence from Indonesia, East Timor's flag is red and features a black isosceles triangle with a white star centered in it. Between the red and the black is a thin wedge of yellow. According to the Constitution of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste states, the yellow triangle symbolizes "the traces of colonialism in East Timor's History,” while the black triangle represents "the obscurantism that needs to be overcome." The red background stands for "the struggle for national liberation," and the white star signifies peace.

Our top-quality East Timor flags conform to all official specifications. Emblems and designs are executed with the highest possible degree of accuracy in regard to detail, color shades, placement and proportion to flag size.
