In 1974 a flag was designed for Grenada by Anthony C. George. It is made up of two horizontal green triangles featuring a clove of nutmeg and two vertical yellow triangles. A red circle with a yellow star appears at the flag’s center. A red border appears around the design with three yellow stars in the center of the bottom horizontal border and three stars in the top center of the horizontal border. The six small stars represent the six parishes of Granada. The big star in the center symbolizes the capital.
