Togo Flags

The first Togo flag was used from 1957-1958. It was green with a small tricolor flag in the top left hand corner with vertical stripes of blue, white and red. There was a white five-pointed star in the top right corner and another in the bottom left corner. The next flag had no small flag in the top left hand corner and lasted from 1958-1960. In 1960 the modern flag was created. Made up of five horizontal stripes of green and yellow, it features a red square in the top left corner. This square boasts a large, white, five-pointed star at its center.
