Return Policy

We are sorry to hear that your order did not meet your expectations. We gladly accept returns of unused products up to 30 days from the date of fulfillment for a refund, so long as the product is in its original condition and packaging.  Please note that made-to-order items are not eligible for returns.   

How do I start my return process? 

  • Request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) on our Contact Us form.  Please provide the sales order number and the reason for the return.
  • We do not accept returned items without first opening a return claim. 

What if I have a made-to-order product I would like to return? 

  • Made-to-order items are not eligible for returns.  However, if there is a manufacturing flaw, we will work with you to re-produce the correct item or provide a full refund.

Will my shipping be covered for my return? 

  • Returns will be subject to a return shipping fee, which will be deducted from your refund. As part of the RMA process, we will provide a shipping label.
  • Return shipping will be covered if the issue is due to a quality defect.
  • Outbound shipping fees from the original order are not refundable. 

How long will the return process take? 

  • Returns are processed in 3-5 business days and refunds can be expected 5-7 business days after processing. 
  • We apply refunds to the tender with which returned items were purchased. 

AmericanFlags.com offers a choice of shipping options at checkout, though we reserve the right to change carriers/methods if such change will result in the faster, safer, or more efficient delivery of your flags. AmericanFlags.com is not responsible for shipping delays once your items have left our warehouse.

Return Policy

Returns are simple and hassle-free at AmericanFlags.com!

AmericanFlags.com takes pride in our products and we emphasize quality control throughout the production and shipping process. If, however, you receive a product that is damaged or defective, please let us know right away so that we can send you a replacement and an apology.

If you receive an item and change your mind about wanting it, you may return it within 30 days of receipt as long as it is in original and unused condition. Made-to-order items, halyard, car flags, historic flags, stick flags, flagpoles 10' and over and items tied to particular events (ie: sports flags) are not returnable.

Before you return a product to us, please contact us for a return merchandise authorization (RMA) and return instructions via our contact form here: contact AmericanFlags.com. Items received back without an RMA will be donated to a veteran's charity and no refund will be given 

Shipping/handling is not refundable and returns incur a 10% restocking fee to cover receiving, re-stocking and processing costs. Companies that offer free returns merely pass those costs along to all customers; we keep our prices low by asking only those who are actually returning items to help cover those costs. Outbound shipping costs are charged on returned orders that were shipped free.

When returning a product to us, please use a self-funded method of shipping that will ensure delivery confirmation as we can't be responsible for lost packages. Your credit card will be credited once we receive the item back and inspect it. We'll email you to confirm your refund.

Once an order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled or changed as our fulfillment process begins immediately, so that our customers can get their merchandise as quickly as possible.

Customers who provide us with incorrect shipping information and whose merchandise is returned as "undeliverable" must pay a re-shipping charge if the item is returned to us and you ask that it be re-sent to you.

Returned or "bounced" checks will result in a bank fee, which is payable only through money order or certified check. If you "chargeback" an order with your credit card company or with PayPal, we will pass along the $25 fee associated with that action to you.
