AmericanFlags.com mourns the loss of Brett D. Shadle, a highly decorated member of the
Navy’s famed SEAL Team 6 who was killed on Thursday during a parachute training exercise in Arizona. SEAL Team 6 gained international attention when members of the top elite unit carried out a raid in Pakistan in 2011 in which Osama bin Laden was killed. Shadle - who was from Pennsylvania - was married and had a 2-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter. He enlisted in the Navy in July 2000 and became a SEAL in 2002. Shadle had earned multiple Bronze Star Medals with Valor and several service ribbons. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Shadle's family and friends.
